How are they fitted?

If you choose a daily wear hearing aid the fitting appointment usually last for about an hour. During this time your hearing healthcare professional  will check the comfort and size of the device, which is especially important if you have chosen a custom built device as it will sit within your ear.

Once the comfort and size has been checked they will then take you through how to adjust the settings and how to look after it. Remember that just like your hearing healthcare professional wants to make sure you get the best out of your hearing aids so make sure you ask any questions you have - or call them afterwards if you forget anything.

Remember it may take some time to get used to the new feel and sounds through your hearing aid, but it will make hearing easier in the long-term. For further information visit the: Adapting to your hearing aid section

You should have an appointment about eight to 12 weeks after your hearing aid is fitted so it can be checked that it is working in the best way for you.
